Halal Standards

HQC enables its customers to be certified to the sum of the internationally recognized Halal certification standards providing global recognition and validity. HQC’s certificates are recognized and accredited from all Islamic authorities, governments and organizations around the world.

Since up to date there is no one single acceptable Halal certification standard from all Islamic countries, HQC has incorporated in its control procedures all internationally accepted certification standards according to the needs of each target country and the products to be certified. For the above reason, an important element of the initial request of any interested organization is the reference of both the target country and the products for which it wishes to be certified so that there are no complications during the import of the products.

HQC is able to certify its customers products according to the following Halal standards:

Halal Slaughtering and Meat Processing:

  • HAS 23103: HAS Criteria on Slaughterhouses
  • MS 1500:2009: Halal Food Production, Handling and Storage
  • GSO 993:2015: Animal Slaughtering Requirements According to Islamic Rules
  • GSO 713:2016: Hygienic regulations for poultry processing abattoirs and their personnel
  • HAS: Halal Assurance System (management system for Halal approved locations)
